2009 covered year three of a five-year plan, CCM’s main intentions were to achieve top 15 placing in the World Championships and top 5 in the British. This was achieved along with some exciting bonus results such as 2nd place in a few of the British, fastest in timed training and some top 10 placings in the GP’s, and for the first time in 32 years a CCM took the holeshot and led the French GP. However it was a steep learning curve for us and we are looking to take all the positives into 2010. For 2010 CCM needs to progress further and we have created a team that we believe can win the British Maxxis MX1 Championship. Our main targets for 2010 are to win the Maxxis and achieve top 10 placings in the GP’s. We have strengthened the team in all areas and have allowed ourselves to be focused 100% on our targets. Dave Thorpe leads the team and for the new season has kept the services of Tom Church, we believe TC has the capability to win and he has shown us that he has raised his game over the winter by taking fastest in Q1 of round 1 of the Maxxis at Little Silver. TC has a good set up on his bike carried forward from 09 and has been working hard to develop improved suspension set ups and improved engine power along with a lighter chassis. TC will be spannered once again by Olly Stone who did a fantastic job for him in 09. Stephen Sword has joined the team for the new season and is also very capable of winning the Maxxis MX1 title in 2010, he has been working hard over the winter and is ready to do battle on the new CCM 450. Stephen too has proved that he can take the CCM to the front by winning Q2 Superpole at round 1 of the Championship at Little Silver. Stephen’s spannerman is Ryan Thorpe who is in his second year with the team. Max the team driver and organiser of the awning is looking forward to his role and has already shown us at Little Silver that the team has a great new look for 2010, he will ensure that the team truck is in the right place at the right time and always looking the best in the paddock! Then there is Harvie, the team practice mechanic , Harvie’s job is to maintain the practice bikes and attend the riders on practice and test days around the UK. For 2010 CCM will run its own hospitality to look after our sponsors and Club 35 members so they are involved in the action. Everyone in the team is a highly valued member and contributes to focusing on that big win that we really need for 2010. The team for 2010 includes: Dave Thorpe Ryan Thorpe Stephen Sword Tom Church Olly Stone Max Hendy Harvie Templeton Banks
